![]() ![]() They wanted you to sign on at 8:15 to have all applications open when we couldn’t punch in until 8:27 and had to stay on the phones until 5:02 even though we only got paid through 5pm. ![]() It got to the point that it was affecting me mentally and physically. Management would send IM’s to us and expected you to answer right away even if you were on the phone with a provider. I was sent a picture of myself on webex without my headphones on questioning me why I didn’t have them on when I had permission from the trainer to take them off while taking a test. It was to the point it felt like being harassed. We were taught at least 15 different systems along with a ton of information in a short period of time and were scolded if someone happened to forget something. As new employees we weren’t supposed to receive calls on that level. Taking call after call with not even a second break in between to take a breath or sip of water. What is a typical day like for you at the company? They have a Hybrid schedule, so you work from home three days a week and go in two. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Unrealistic expectations, management that only comes in to tell you something negative, old antiquated systems along with newer non user friendly systems. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Some of the people that work there are very nice What is the best part of working at the company? Over time it becomes more stressful and time-consuming than working as a line clinician. I believe this job is a good place to take a break from direct counseling, but I do not believe it’s a long-term solution as a position. There is definitely favoritism between employees by management, which is very apparent, and the majority of supervisors are off shift an hour before a shift change. The management position on this is “it has always been this way, and it will always be this way”. You cannot leave at the end of the day if you are working with a client therefore, if you have any responsibilities outside of work where you need to leave on time, this is not a position that will give you the option to plan your personal life after your scheduled shift ends. There is redundant work, which must be completed daily in addition to numerous additional responsibilities on top of your primary responsibilities. Not all calls can fit into the parameters they have set forth, yet will be reflected in your end of year summary, and yearly increase. Supervisors listen in on calls intermittently. Tracking software is installed which further monitors your work. Phone calls and notes are timed, monitored, and evaluated. The management style, and lack of flexibility by the management, results in the job being overwhelming and incredibly stressful. The work in and of itself is not difficult. ![]()
